Management Accountant

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a permanent Management Accountant for a leading, reputable and instantly recognisable business in Lancashire who are undertaking a period of growth, both organically and through acquisition.

You will be a strong Management Accountant and very visible member of the team with the remit of working closely with numerous business stakeholders based both in the UK and overseas and will be tasked with driving continuous improvement across the business' operations.

You will also coordinate the Group's monthly management accounts; quarterly management reporting requirements; review of corporate head office costs process coupled with regular deep-dive analysis into areas of the P&L across the Group.

This is a complex, hands on role, supporting the senior management of the division and group. Key to the success of the role is the ability to manage and be accountable to multiple stakeholders. You will have great exposure to the business, working closely with the non finance teams, aiding them in making sound conclusions following your analysis, for example identification of opportunities to increase EBITDA through accounting judgments and business acumen.

This key position within both the Group and the wider finance community combines a thorough knowledge of accounting and finance issues with sound commercial acumen. You will work within a demanding environment and must have the ability to satisfy the requirements of multiple internal and external stakeholders.

The person

The successful applicant will be a finalist or fully qualified ACA or ACCA or CIMA in a similar role as a Management Accountant within an FMCG, Manufacturing or multi-site environment. You will have experience of working alongside and presenting to the senior management team and external

You will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and ability to gain knowledge across the breadth of a variety of functions. Good communication skills with proven experience of working alongside and presenting to the senior management team and external stakeholders as a Management Accountant. You be able to translate financial information (exceptional spreadsheet skills is a must) and create successful business relationships. You will also be able to take a 'big picture' view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail.
