Job: Payroll Officer - Pembridge Hereford

Type: Permanent - Full time 39 hours a week TEMP-PERM

Salary: £25,000

Hewett Recruitment's Finance team are excited to be representing this fantastic organisation who are seeking an experienced Payroll officer to join their Finance team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for several Payrolls ranging from 12 through to 700+ staff.

Your Duties:

  • To run payrolls, creating journals and liaising with Accounts as necessary to effect payment to employees.
  • To include year-end duties and all associated paperwork to HMRC standards and regulations.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated payroll service across the UK and Ireland.
  • Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements, e.g. wages, SSP, expenses, paternity, personal issues and any day-to-day HR occurrences.
  • Creating journals and liaising with accounts as necessary to effect payment to employees.
  • To include month end duties and all associated paperwork to HMRC standards and regulations seeking assistance from the Payroll Manager as necessary.
  • Check wage sheets and compile data.
  • Apply salary adjustments, increases and deductions, overtime payments, calculate pension payments and holiday pay etc. in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate authorities are obtained to maintain an audit trail.
