Payroll Officer

We are working with our Public sector client in the Newcastle area to recruit in to their existing team in the large shared service centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroller with some fantastic benefits including a very generous holiday allowance. With responsibility for a department this will the processing of payroll. As a payroll officer you will be supporting the business with the administration of payroll activities. As an experienced Payroll officer you will be dealing with queries and the administration of a high volume of payrolls.


  • Processing payrolls
  • Providing comprehensive support and with excellent knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Performing manual calculations, processing standard deductions
  • Supporting the payroll manager in the production of accurate and timely payrolls

The person:

  • Experienced Payroll Officer or Payroll Administrator
  • Experience with ESR and Oracle would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Payroll experience or have worked within a payroll team
  • Passionate about providing a first class service and developing a career in payroll
