Practice Accountant

We are looking for a Candidate who will work alongside the Directors and assist them with a diverse Portfolio of clients.

They will deal with:-

  • All aspects of clients Bookkeeping, Accounting, Personal and Corporate Taxation; Statutory requirements, general administration etc.
  • The position will involve a knowledge of a variety of different disciplines, but candidates must have a solid understanding of reconciliation of control accounts and confidence in Financial Statement preparation and disclosure requirements.
  • In addition, the ability and knowledge to prepare Tax Returns and Computations, for both individuals and corporate entities.

Strong communications skills are essential as the role includes meeting and advising a complete cross section of the Firms clients, including email and telephone correspondence with clients, HMRC etc.

While ultimately reporting to the Principal, they will initially report to and be supervised by the specific Directors who are responsible for the day to day handling of the relevant clients affairs.

You will be expected to learn on the job and every assistance will be given by the Principal and Directors to help increase knowledge both academically and technically. Ultimately, when you are sufficiently competent, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients.
You will be expected to familiarise yourself with the various software packages that they use, i.e. Sage 50/100/200, QuickBooks, Xero, SAPA, Sage Payroll, TaxCalc and Sage Corporation Tax.

Qualifications and experience will include: Part-fully qualified ACCA or ACA and at last 5 years of practice experience.
