Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator to join our client based in between Newmarket and Haverhill.This is a multi-skilled role supporting the accounts function of various businesses.

Full training and support will be offered; however, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience in the following areas of accounting:

  • Processing supplier invoices & paying by bank transfer.
  • Generating customer invoices and reconciling incoming payments.
  • Recoding VAT correctly, generating and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
  • Recording Payroll data correctly
  • Preparing all company accounts for year-end, in liaison with our external accountancy firm.
  • Understanding nominal codes, ensuring that profit and loss accounts can be adequately interrogated to allow business decisions to be made.
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Monthly internal reporting on cash flow and P&Ls.

The successful applicant will display the flexibility to offer administrative support to other areas of the business as necessary.Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for this role.

Due to the location of our client, applicants must have access to their own transport as the site is not serviced by public transport.

This is a part-time role, working 20 - 30 hours per week over 3 or 5 days, working hours can be negotiated on application.
