Your new role...
Good governance and compliance relating to company payrolls across the group.
Mileage and expense claims are processed in line with company policies and procedures.
Payrolls and pensions are reconciled and processed accurately ensuring a high accuracy rate.
Timely and accurate processing of new starters, leavers and permanent changes.
Operating procedures will be kept up to date and fit for purpose subject to business requirements and legislation.
Systems queries and issues will be handled effectively/escalated as required ensuring efficient response times and good customer service.
Processes are challenged and reviewed where there is opportunity to make improvements to ensure they are as efficient and effective as possible in line with business practices whilst keeping the customer in mind.
Efficient handling of customer phone call and email queries, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Good teamwork across the HR and Payroll teams, supporting across both as required with a one team ethos.
Experience of running end-to-end payroll autonomously.
Solid understanding of payroll relevant legislation including NMW regulations, SSP, SMP, Alabaster ruling etc.
Experience of running reports and using these to check for errors/reconcile.
Experience of using payroll systems.
Ability to confidently handle pay queries.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
A flexible, one-team approach to working across the HR administration service.
Self-motivated with excellent time management and priority setting skills.
Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining quality output.
Proficient IT skills with ability to use packages such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
