Salary circa. £65,000 - £80,000 + Benefits
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial / Finance Business Partner to join our client on a permanent basis. A pivotal role in the finance team; the successful candidate will join a successful and growing commercial business during an exciting period of change.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing forward-looking, strategic, knowledge-based insight to influence key business decisions and enabling value creation and problem solving by understanding, partnering with, and challenging the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Driving and influencing strategic decision-making (e.g., long-term business planning, product analysis and development, internal cost management, balancing risk, pricing etc.)
- Strengthening supply chain performance by providing a deep understanding of standard cost development, optimising working capital and championing integrated business planning and S&OP
- Acting as a trusted point of contact to other business leaders providing commercial and financial decision support, challenge and insight into product profitability to drive future performance and product innovation
- Understanding and influencing the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on product performance including ROI, KPI analysis and bench-marking throughout the product life-cycle
- Interpreting complex information (financial data, relevant financial legislation, financial policies etc.) to determine the impact of financial decisions and effectively translate to business leaders
- Providing financial support during the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process
- Supporting cost optimisation projects through profitability analysis and efficiency recommendations
- Supporting implementation of business-wide programs and products
- Reviewing Capital project proposals and key player in developing and implementing a post project review process
Key Skills & experience:
The successful candidate will possess a professional accounting qualification along with significant experience of providing decision support / strategic & commercial business partnering within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Commercially minded process and product focused
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Broad understanding of relevant finance legislation and regulations
- Ability to understand, interpret and present complex financial data
- Ability to use profitability analysis techniques to deliver insight and make recommendations
- Track record of collaborating with business leaders in a complex business environment
- Excellent direct and / or indirect people management skills
- Ability to act as a change leader across the organisation
- Comfortable with occasional travel to various sites across the UK.
