The Building Services / Construction Purchasing Manager

Within the role your main responsibility will be accurately forecasting levels of demand for services and materials, within reason, so you will have to keep your finger on the pulse of the market to ensure you are keeping a balance between quality, cost and reliability.

You will have the power to negotiate existing & new contracts between suppliers / manufacturers and the business, monitoring the progress and quality checking the services being provided.

Skills and Experience

Ideally you will have done this role previous inside of another large M&E contractor but experience in the construction or M&E sector will also work. To really get to grips with this role youll need to have been practising your role for at least 5 years.

Aside from the usual IT proficiency, report writing skills and MS Office familiarity youll also need to be confident in negotiating and leveraging your networking skills to get the most out of the supply chain.

Youll be leading a team so management experience will be vital as you will be asked to prioritise work, conduct research and deliver under accurately under pressure to, at times, tight deadlines.

Salary and Package

This is a senior role in the company and as such compensation will be inline with the roles and responsibilities you take on.

As a benchmark the company are looking to pay £70,000 - £80,000 + travel expenses
