NEW ROLE - Project Quantity Surveyor – Large New Build Healthcare projects – Cheshire – Up to £60,000 plus car allowance - /

My client is a fast-growing new build main contractor based in Cheshire, they are working on various projects within the healthcare sector and the NHS framework, with projects ranging from £5 Million to £80 Million.

They are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to look after new build healthcare projects. They are a national contractor . They have recently successfully won a number of projects in the new build healthcare sector. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic and ambitious company. Duties
General quantity surveying details
Working on projects within a framework
Valuations / Variations
Managing cash flows / budgets
Generating detailed monthly project P&L reports
Management of sub-contractor procurement
Attend sub-contractor Pre-Contract meetings
Preparation of formal sub-contract Agreements
Management of legal issues and disputes
Management of important commercial issues
Management of sub-contractor interim accounts
Agreement of sub-contractor final accounts
Submission of monthly CVR reports
Submission of monthly Profit and Loss reports
Presentation of Commercial and Post-Contract Reviews
Management of external Applications for Payment
Agreement of Client final accounts
Attend internal team meetings
Attend Client and Design meetings as required
Convene and attend sub-contractor meetings as required
Performing risk, value management and cost control
Providing advice on contractual claims
Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
The candidate
Main contracting / fit out experience ideally
Able to manage own sites independently
Large project experience £10 million plus
Must have worked as a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior in a previous role
Strong numeracy and financial management skills
The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
Negotiating and team-working skills

£50,000 - £60,000
