Community Engagement Manager

About the Role

35 Hours per week

The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for leading our strategic direction for engaging with communities, charities and other agencies. They will lead, manage and develop our network of partners and manage the creation of innovating programmes put St John at the heard of delivering healthcare in communities.

Our key objectives include developing the community advocacy & engagement, supporting units in building resilient communities, and supporting public education and awareness campaigns.

They will manage a team of staff and volunteers who will oversee a range of innovative programmes and strengthen our network of partners to support our work in local communities.

The successful candidate can be based at any manned SJA office.

You will be confident in project development, and have a deep understanding on how to develop programmes to meet the needs of community groups. You will be passionate about developing relationships and working with external stakeholders.

Experience at working on a regional or national scale would be an advantage, and an understanding on managing operating budgets and cost improvements will be important.
