We are looking for a full-time Legal Secretary to join our niche practice in Camberley dealing with Wills, Probate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney providing secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Department.
Responsibilities:
First point of contact for new client enquiries - presenting the firm in best light, obtaining relevant information and referring work to the Head of Department
Diary management arranging client appointments, meeting room bookings, office meetings, key dates/deadlines
File administration file opening including all aspects of anti-money laundering compliance, file maintenance, file closures, archiving and will storage
To act as a witness for will signings
Secretarial work including digital dictation, working with precedent letters, etc
Systems and procedure use and compliance maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Firm and Department systems and procedures, adhering to Firm guidelines
Billing and accounts administration producing and issuing bills and statements of account, liaising with fee earner and clients re: money on account
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills and be able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail. You must also be highly organised and able to manage and correctly prioritise own workload. Additionally, you will be IT literate and willing to learn new systems. Previous experience of Wills and Probate administration ideally but legal secretarial experience of other areas of law will be considered
