New Teaching Assistant role - L20 area

Start Date: ASAP

We’re partnering with an good Primary school in the Sefton area, looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 1 with ASD and SEMH . The post is full time, working 8.45am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday . This post will start ASAP

If you have previously supporting a child with SEN or have knowledge/experience with ASD and looking for a long term as this is to cover a mat cover leave then please get in touch asap...

You will be working with a Year 1 child who has ASD & SEMH and also will involve also taking small groups for catch-up session with the child and others for phonics, reading

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be working in a KS1 class , supporting a child with their learning and development on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Work closely with the class teacher and Sendco and you will be responsible to support a KS2 SEN child in the classroom

Required Skills & Experience:

  • You must have previous experience supporting in an EYFS - KS1 setting
  • Previous experience supporting SEN children within either Nursery/ SEN or primary schools or similar
  • If you have completed a CACHE qualification or have completed any volunteering Teaching Assistants posts, this may be a great opportunity and you must have at least 3 months school based experience in a UK Primary School setting or similar
