LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - QUALITY (Hybrid/Onsite)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Specialist, Quality Systems is responsible for supporting and expanding learning management programs as part of the Quality Systems department. This role includes conducting educational needs assessments and creating training content to meet identified needs; monitoring and reporting on program performance and effectiveness; delivering training as needed, and providing guidance and education to site subject matter experts to improve training content. This role also includes support for information management functions in the Quality Systems department.

This position partners with stakeholders and cross-functional teams within the organization to identify needs and opportunities for improvement and drive focus on customer success.

This position reports to the Supervisor of Quality Systems at the Northpointe facility and is responsible for activities supporting cGMP operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with functional area subject matter experts to identify training needs using ADDIE or similar methodology
  • Design and develop online, in-person, and blended learning content that engages the learner and enhances knowledge retention using educational/cognitive framework such as Bloom's Taxonomy or similar methodology
  • Create learning resources and supporting material (video, slides, audio, workbooks, reference guides, etc.), including eLearning content
  • Devise modes of assessment (e.g., exams, surveys, and metrics) to measure training effectiveness leveraging Kirkpatrick evaluation model or similar methodology
  • Develop and facilitate Annual GMP Refresher and Qualified Trainer programs
  • Deliver in-person/live online instructor-led classes
  • Support and administer electronic learning management system (eLMS) as required
  • Assist in analyzing data from to identify trends or potential compliance and/or operational risks related to learning/training and to measure, analyze, and improve trainee performance
  • Remain current on trends and new technologies and developments in areas of responsibility
  • Support inspections conducted by internal and external agencies

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or similar
  • Degree, certification, or advanced training in education, instructional design, instructional technology, adult learning, and/or learning assessment
  • Formal knowledge of learning assessment, development, and evaluation tools (ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick evaluation model, etc.)
  • Strong presentation and training delivery skills
  • Strong editorial and writing skills
  • Familiarity with electronic document management and learning management systems
  • Advanced skills with MS Office applications Word, Excel
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in office environment 8 hours per day
