Job Responsibilities:
  • Participates in and conducts technical training programs.
  • Determines training objectives.
  • Writes training programs, including outline, text, handouts, and tests, and designs laboratory exercises.
  • Lectures class on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment, following outline, handouts and texts.
  • Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities or program effectiveness.
  • Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
  • Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts.
  • Design, plan, organize and direct orientation and training for employees or customers of industrial or commercial establishment.
  • Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded, and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.
  • Select and assign instructors to conduct training
  • Schedule classes based on availability of classrooms, equipment, or instructors.
Education: Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in training technology products and services.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and familiarization with the administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of best practices utilized in a variety of training environments.
  • Proficient knowledge and strong understanding and competency in NextGen's Healthcare Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) and/or Practice Management (PM), and other ancillary products and specialties.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) with intermediate to advanced skill levels in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to present training opportunities to a variety of virtual settings including but not limited to: Microsoft Teams and/or WebEx.
  • Ability to adapt training based on levels of understanding.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to rapidly incorporate updates and changes into a dynamic learning curriculum.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and accept feedback based on surveys or metrics and incorporate changes to ensure an excellent end-user experience.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment employing a hands-on approach with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships through collaboration and respect.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel between 20-50% for essential business needs only in accordance to public health, client, potential client, and NextGen Healthcare safety protocols and requirements where applicable to reduce risks during and after travel which may include vaccinations, masks, social distancing, quarantines, and any Client Site/Facility requirements regardless of personal preference (some clients may require an employee to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination before being allowed on site).
