Line Cook

Bullard Tavern, located in the Woodlark Hotel in downtown Portland is seeking a Line Cook. Come work side by side with our Chefs, and our amazing kitchen team!

This is an hourly role (with tips in a pooled house structure) and pay is competitive and based on experience. Bullard's menu highlights the bounty of Oregon's produce and farm-raised beef and poultry, while using our smoker and wood-fired hearth, among other tools in our technique-driven restaurant. Our hospitality matches the quality of our food, and we are looking for a Line Cook to round out our culinary team. The Line Cook will work directly with our Kitchen Manager, Sous Chefs, and Chef de Cuisine in helping to produce for the menus of Bullard Tavern, Abigail Hall, and events at The Woodlark Hotel. This individual will possess all of the experience to get the job done, along with all the attributes to convey our vision and build our culture.

  • 2 years of industry experience
  • Experience with & enthusiasm to learn a variety of cooking techniques such as: smoking, grilling, saute, and frying
  • Have an understanding and practice proper food safety and handling
  • Must be highly motivated with a willingness to continue to improve upon your craft
  • Current Oregon Food Handlers Card
  • Knife skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and directions
  • Able to work quickly, clean and efficiently.
