Job Summary
Plans, directs, and manages the clinical activities of a specialty program and provide specialty care either directly or indirectly to patients. Maintains and monitors the program database and analyzes the data. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, medical staff, pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals, patients and their families.
The Advanced Practice Specialty Geriatrics Program Coordinator will oversee day to day coordination of SMH Age Friendly initiatives. This includes patient consultation and inter-professional collaboration as well as development and maintenance of nursing education and the Geriatric Resource team.
Required Qualifications
- Require two (2) years of satisfactory RN experience; preferably in a designated specialty.
- Require an active State of Florida Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer program management, teaching consulting and outcome management experience.
Mandatory Education
MSN: Masters of Science Nursing
Required License and Certs
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
Monday - Friday/Day shift/Varies based on department needs.
