Full time and Part time line cook

Momoyama in the Pearl District of downtown Portland is looking for full time and part time line cooks
The Line Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items created by the Chefs and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly.

We are looking for someone to take 4 full day shifts for fulltime and dinner shifts for part time.
Line shifts run from 10:30AM - 2:30PM we close for 2 hours then open back up at 4:30pm-10PM on Wed/Thu/Sun and till 1030PM on Fri/Sat.

Line cooks will be preparing and executing a variety of Japanese and Japanese inspired dishes. 

Some duties will include:
• Prepare menu items, following recipes and portion guidelines
• Set up your station with necessary par levels for your shift and ensure you restock as needed
• Receive goods and ensure products are to outlined standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Organize, sanitize, and clean the kitchen as well as the storage areas and coolers
• Practice exceptional cooking techniques
• Work with team members to achieve daily needs of the operation
• Maintain a positive attitude and keep up with the pace of a demanding kitchen
• Keep an open mind to learn new skills and recipes
• Work in a safe manner at all times, ensuring personal safety and safety of others, ensuring all items raised which may cause harm to guests or other employees are addressed immediately
• Complete opening and closing tasks as well as extra cleaning projects as needed
• Physically be able to lift up to or more than 50 pounds.

Compensation will be 17/hr or more depending on experience. Line cooks will also get tips!
