Healthcare Training Specialist (Client Solutions)

The Americas Operations Team primarily supports Client Solutions, GLG's client service organization, in hiring strategy, onboarding, role-based training, and employee engagement initiatives. We are looking for a Healthcare-focused Training Specialist to collaborate with our core Americas Healthcare Business Units (across each of GLG's core Client segments) to support a culture of learning and contribute to the growth of content-focused knowledge.

Working closely with GLG's business leaders and fellow Americas Operations team members, the Healthcare Training Specialist will primarily be responsible for the close coaching of our healthcare-focused Senior Associates, a key frontline client-facing role, and the training of all Client Solutions healthcare professionals. After completing a rotation through our healthcare business units as a Senior Associate, for personal training and upskilling purposes, the Training Specialist will then move into the "coach" role, helping train Senior Associates on end-to-end healthcare project management skills

In the day-to-day, the Specialist will focus on coaching and upskilling healthcare-focused Senior Associates (hired monthly in 'classes') through practice and shadow sessions, identification of improvement areas, one on one support, repeat training sessions, and certifications. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating and facilitating healthcare content and servicing training sessions to upskill and continually educate all Client Solutions healthcare team members on core topics like the healthcare value chain, drug development, payment systems, and specific disease areas (among many other topics).

This position will require a highly proactive individual who thoroughly understands healthcare content and how to teach complex healthcare content to learners of all professional tenures. The individual must be willing to train on GLG workflow and systems, and should be able to teach to, and execute against, evolving team and business priorities.

Across all our positions, GLG seeks excellence, integrity, creativity, and professionalism. Specifically, we look for individuals who thrive in new environments, approach their work with precision and have a passion for continuous improvement.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):.

  • Provide structured on-demand coaching and counsel to (rising) healthcare-aligned Senior Associates to ensure they are equipped to do the job as they were trained; proactively spot issues and retrain as needed
  • Identify the need for, create, and facilitate healthcare content trainings to upskill healthcare-focused CS professionals
  • Drive reinforcement of content knowledge and project skills through small group and/or one on one coaching sessions
  • Partner with Managers to identify areas of opportunity, coach and reinforce skills that build off role-based training (i.e., onboarding, workflow, continued education)
  • Support Senior Associates during their onboarding certification processes
  • Proactively offer ideas for more efficient processes or improved content to deliver exceptional training

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare-focused role, ideally with a teaching, mentoring, or managerial focus
  • Strong coaching or mentoring skill set and passion for upskilling individuals
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations on complex content
  • Demonstrated ability to display poise and confidence when under pressure
  • Self-driven and persistent attitude; can accomplish tasks with minimal oversight
  • Ability to balance multiple and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening
  • Exceptional organization skills, with an impeccable attention to detail
  • Team player attitude, with ability to create excellent working relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
