Sous Chef/Jr. Sous

Are you ready to take the next step in your culinary career?  We want to help you get where you want to go.  We are a well established restaurant in the heart of downtown Austin, TX.  We are a part of a hospitality company that operates several restaurants in the Austin area, and plans to open more.  We need people who want to grow with us.  

  • Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent

    • 2years of experience as a cook in an upscale, high volume environment

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    • Solid cooking and knife technique and ability to manage high volume services

    • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required

  • Job Responsibilities

    • Food preparation and prep recipe execution 

    • Completing nightly orders

    • Assign and confirm completion of prep and cleaning duties to BOH employees

    • Teaching and mentoring BOH staff

    • Performing other work related duties as assigned

    • Being the chefs eyes and ears when they are not in the kitchen

    • Assisting with the creation of specials and new menu items
