Personal Lines Customer Service Agent

The Customer Service Agent (CSA) provides support in obtaining,
maintaining, expanding, and servicing accounts. The CSA works directly
with the Producer in the servicing of new and existing accounts. The
CSA meets the agency service standards of time and quality. This role
has remote work options.

* Processing policy changes at the direction of an Account Manager
(AM). This includes documenting the change in our AMS and requesting
changes from the carrier via their website, or by email where
necessary. Changes include, but are not limited to:
Adding/Deleting vehicles and drivers
o Changing mailing/billing
o Revising Mortgagees and Lienholders
o Add/Delete
scheduled floater items
* Providing Evidence of Insurance to
Mortgagees and Lienholders as necessitated by closings and new
* Issue and distribute Auto ID cards electronically or
by mail.
* Assist in producing basic renewal summaries for AM to
further manipulate.
* Document and contact clients on pending
* Follow-up with carriers for outstanding
* Access carrier websites to review daily activity
and download any necessary documentation into the AMS.
Processing final cancellations
* Helps identify inadequacies and
gaps in coverage
* Assists Producer with completing applications
for new business and renews policies per agency guidelines including,
but not limited to, preparing new and renewal applications in the
Agency Management System, ordering Loss Runs, submitting applications
to carriers, obtaining client signatures as appropriate, following up
to ensure timely responses in conjunction with the Producer, preparing
Client proposals for new and renewal presentations, and preparing
appropriate communications through Form Letters
* Maintains
current knowledge of the marketplace
* Delegates (or checks) the
processing of company-produced documents for accuracy including, but
not limited to policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, and
secures corrections from carriers on incorrect items
* Issues
non-routine Certificates of Insurance
* Delegates (or prepares)
signed finance agreements
* Delegates billing (or invoice)
transactions accurately including binder bills, new business,
renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and audits
* Responds to
client requests per agency guidelines
* Handles Open Activity
Follows-ups with daily review and follow-up (no follow-up dates older
than one week)
* Must be able to work during regular working
hours as established by the agency (at your desk, ready to work by
starting time and immediately after lunch)
* Other daily items as
directed by AM staff.

Experience and Skills:

Years of Experience:
* Minimum 1-2 years

* Associate degree; or combined equivalent years of
education and experience
License, Certification, or
* P&C License is required.

Additional Information:
* Successfully completed the INS course
and is willing to pursue continuing education, such as CISR, CIC,
* Good organizational, verbal, and written communication
skills necessary
* Ability to utilize computer programs and
understand functionality
* Basic computer and word processing
skills required
* Basic knowledge of standard agency accounting
* Ability to carry out complex tasks with concrete
and/or abstract variables
* Ability to take ownership of assigned
