The Sandwich Bar Lead's role is an integral part of the efficient, enthusiastic team that makes Grand Central Bakery s vibrant cafes such wonderful spaces to be in. They are passionate about serving delicious food and drink to a community of loyal customers. The Sandwich Bar Lead ensures all team members are trained on proper sandwich making procedures, is responsible for meeting food cost goals, and serves as a conduit for food specific knowledge. They often lead in training and can be the Person In Charge (PIC) for all parts of the day.
The ideal candidate for this role will be customer oriented, and mission-focused. They must be a strong team player with good communication, problem-solving skills, organization, and planning.

Rate of Pay: This position pays an average of $26.68 - $29.21 per hour including tips. (Base pay is $18.10 per hour. Tips average $9.00 an hour.) New hires are excluded from the tip pool for the first five (5) training shifts.
Schedule: Full-time, est. 5 days a week. Schedule flexibility, including weekends and holidays, required.

The Sandwich Bar Lead is required to stand for 100% of the shift. The role necessitates working in a loud environment with frequent interruptions. This position may require lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs.
This position works in a building containing a bakery and is constantly exposed to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye, corn, oat).
