Independent Contractor
Peel Region, Ontario


The Psychologist will report to the Clinical Programs Supervisor and provide assessment, direct treatment, and consultation to a pediatric client population and their families, as well as PeelCAS Case Workers, as referred for services by Peel Children’s Aid Society



  • Perform cognitive and mental health assessments of children at the offices of PeelCAS and/or a private practice

  • Provide timely follow ups with the child, his/her family and the corporate client who referred the client

  • Plan, implement, evaluate and adapt psychology services, goals, and objectives to meet the specific needs of assigned clients, using theory, principles, best practices, and treatment techniques

  • Prepare written reports for the corporate client (ie. assessment report, consultative reports as requested)

  • Provision of remote consultation to PeelCAS Case Workers as appropriate for clients referred for services

  • Provision of remote and/or in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as appropriate for clients referred for services

  • Maintenance of written records of the clients’ progress during intervention in the form of a daily progress note, completed after each client contact

Required core qualifications and skills:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in psychology

  • In good standing with the Ontario College of Psychologists and valid professional liability insurance is mandatory;  

  • Clinical experience in pediatric psychology doing assessment, direct treatment and consultation

  • Comprehensive knowledge of community resources, health agencies and social services
