About Hyde Leadership Charter School: Hyde Leadership Charter School is the only K-12 college-preparatory school serving students and families in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement the science curriculum and create lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to science
Create hands-on, inquiry-based, project-based lessons that build excitement for science.
Ensure high academic standards are set for and met by all students
Collaborate with other teachers to provide rigorous, standards-based learning to students
Execute rigorous, whole-group and small group instruction based on the individual needs of students
Use student performance data derived from teacher-created and standardized assessments to drive instructional decision-making
The ideal candidate will have: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
A Master's degree in Education or relevant content area (preferred)
New York State Certification (Dual Certification in Early Childhood or Childhood Education and Special Education preferred)
A commitment to equity and antiracism work by reinforcing a culture that supports an anti-biased, anti-racist response to behavior.
Demonstrated success working in an urban school setting
A passion and interest for teaching science.
Strong data tracking and analysis skills
An ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, families and students
A commitment to character development and family partnerships
