The Accelerators Team at FedTech:

What you will do:

As the Venture Advisory Lead, you will drive value for startups ranging across a number of complex topics in technology and finance, positioning yourself for rapid career advancement as FedTech continues to expand. You will perform the role of an 'entrepreneur-in-residence,' meeting startups' needs to help accelerate their ability to thrive in the deep technology marketplace.

  • Ensure profitable implementation of our venture advisory practice - this role is expected to grow rapidly, quickly moving into full P/L responsibility
  • Lead a variety of consulting products associated with tech development and business processes
  • Bring creative, out-of-the-box solutions to how we do business - using data and nuanced understanding of our space to implement new ideas
  • Nurture relationships across the Dept of Defense ecosystem on behalf of our startups
  • Support broader team initiatives across the accelerators team
  • Any other number of innovative tasks that help us achieve our mission - we're a startup

What you bring to the role:

  • A bachelor's degree; an advanced degree in business or science/engineering is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional services org - project leadership is a plus
  • Project management skills - management of deadlines, deliverables, and resources
  • Exposure to the small business community, and aspiration to learn the details of running startups. interest in unlocking the benefits of tech through entrepreneurship
  • Willingness to learn about contract work with the federal govt. Experience here is a +
  • Communication skills: lead meetings, deliver presentations, write professionally
  • Ability to motivate staff to achieve shared vision; willingness in to support other projects
  • Enthusiasm for building strong relationships with a diverse set of people
  • Relentlessly drives towards action (testing, measuring, iterating)

Ability and willingness to relocate within commuting distance of our Arlington, VA HQ is required.
