Our menus focus on worldly cuisines that change DAILY! To maintain a high level of quality and consistency, cooks should: adhere to recipes and cooking techniques as delegated by the Jr Sous Chef; taste to adjust for flavor and regularly temp; maintain food quantities and communicate deficiencies with management; assist other stations as needed throughout service and to prep ahead.Hospitality
This isn’t your typical back of the house line cook role! Our cooks provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging guests with information on the menu served: including flavor profiles, allergens, and history of the dish.Cleanliness
All team members should maintain clean work stations and equipment throughout the day; display personal hygiene including clean fingernails and uniform.Safety
All team members should practice excellent sanitation/food safety and safe use of food preparation equipment. Must hold a valid King County food handler permit. Non-slips shoes are required in the kitchen (Lavish Roots provides an annual $50 shoe stipend).
For the safety and health of our guests and team members, Lavish Roots requires proof of vaccination for employment. Face masks are optional.Skills/Experience
We’re looking for cooks with a range of cooking skills/techniques and knowledge of french and worldly cuisines. Must have strong knife skills executed at a high level.
Applicants should have at least 1-3 years of previous Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant/catering setting.

Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time. Standing during a shift of 8-10+ hours. Repetitive hand and arm motion involved in production and clean up. Heavy lifting or carrying of up to 40lbs.Work Environment
