Position Purpose

Vivent Health is seeking a highly qualified Content Writer to lead the strategy and creation of content to tell the Vivent Health story. Through inspiring storytelling and on-brand persuasive copywriting, you'll find new and effective ways across all mediums to increase brand awareness and strengthen Vivent Health's reputation as a thought leader on the fight to end HIV. This position will report to the Vice President of Strategic Communications and will work closely with other departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of written materials.



Scope of Responsibilities


Vivent Health is one of the nation's largest providers of HIV prevention, care and treatment services with a budget approaching $225 million and employing over 450 professionals.

The unique, nationally recognized Vivent Health HIV Medical home model of care assures that everyone with HIV has access to medical, dental, mental health and social services and provides the best opportunity for patients to achieve high quality health outcomes. Vivent Health also provides aggressive HIV prevention services to gay men, injection drug users and others at the highest risk for HIV infection.

Vivent Health currently operates in multiple states nationwide. It embraces a Market Culture to increase access to care, enhance quality outcomes, achieve and surpass financial performance expectations and has an aggressive plan to expand into additional states. Essential Function:

  • Plan, execute and manage strategic content creation initiatives for digital and offline channels that culminate in the delivery of new content that is SEO optimized, engaging, relevant and on brand
  • Develop, write and implement communications for a variety of audiences through a range of media and channels, including but not limited to website, blogs, collateral, advertisements, newsletters, video scripts and op-eds
  • Write compelling material that positions Vivent Health as a thought leader on the local, state, regional and national levels
  • Conduct interviews with staff, patients, volunteers, donors and other stakeholders to further support our storytelling efforts and communicate the impact of our work
  • Perform content audits and gap assessments; Proactively bring new ideas to the table to tell the Vivent Health story
  • Find innovative and effective ways to engage our various audiences within and outside Vivent Health platforms to increase brand awareness and strengthen brand reputation
  • Own the copywriting, proofing, editing, quality assurance and optimization of digital and offline content, marketing campaigns and brand messaging in accordance with corporate standards; Ensure materials are error-free and of the highest quality to best represent the Vivent Health brand
  • Create, maintain and execute marketing and content calendars aligned to business objectives
  • Implement and maintain practices to promote consistency across all written materials enterprise wide; design and create appropriate templates and brand standards
  • Stay current on content marketing trends and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience developing engaging and strategic content across multiple channels, preferably for healthcare or nonprofit markets
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated content writing experience. Writing samples will be required as part of the interview process.
  • Previous work copywriting, proofing, editing, quality assurance and optimization of digital and offline content, marketing campaigns and brand messaging in accordance with corporate standards
  • Skilled at interviewing subject matter experts and thought leaders
  • Understanding of all marketing communication channels, with particular strength in digital content creation/writing
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong intercultural awareness and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to work diligently and efficiently, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a busy, fast-paced environment. This independence is complemented by your ability to be a team player
