Reporting to the Manager of Content Strategy, the Manager of Content Partnerships is responsible for developing and delivering a holistic content partnership strategy - one that integrates Content, Brand, Communications, Research, Digital and Product Marketing initiatives and functions. This role will be responsible for managing the content partnership strategy, for owning select content partner relationships, and for spearheading key content and brand projects involving content partners. The goal of this role is to drive more value from partnerships at Diligent and to design partnership strategies that further Content team and Marketing team goals around brand awareness, brand impact and lead generation. To be successful in this role, cross-functional collaboration across all Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE) teams will be required.


  • Conduct an initial (and then ongoing) discovery process with various Marketing CoE teams to understand partnership goals and identify opportunities
  • Develop a holistic partnership strategy that accounts for the various types of partnerships - (I) Content, (II) Brand/Purchased, (III) Industry/Thought Leadership - that maps back to Marketing team objectives; work with Content Strategy Manager to set KPIs and own measurement.
    Prioritize, scope and own key projects extending from your partnership strategy:
    • Content Partnerships: Identify and own high-impact content partnerships across key business initiatives; guide the partnership components for the content strategy within Diligent channels and the Diligent product
    • Brand/Purchased: Own the content strategy for activation of in-house brands Inside America's Boardrooms and the Corporate Director Podcast, and own the content strategy for partners like Fortune and World Economic Forum; partner with the Brand and Director Experience teams to expand reach and impact through these channels
    • Industry/Thought Leadership: Identify opportunities with existing knowledge partners (KPMG, PwC's Governance Insights Center, Spencer Stuart, New York Stock Exchange, Unqork, SecurityScorecard, etc.) that map to key brand and content goals
  • Own content activation stemming from your partnership strategy (e.g., extension to social media, digital funnel integration, internal comms, partner channels)
  • Support content strategy for Modern Leadership programs

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years' experience as a writer, content manager, partnerships marketer, journalist or related position
  • Strong project, program and/or campaign management skills
  • Strong writing, collaboration, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment is a plus
  • Experience in the governance, risk, audit or compliance space or with the audience of general counsels, corporate secretaries, legal ops, c-suite execs and board directors is a plus
  • Experience with project management software as well as Salesforce or other CRM is a plus
