    The selectee for this Intern position will serve as a Student Trainee (Mechanical Engineer) in the Production Division, Utilities & Energy Branch of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

    Responsibilities

    The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
    • Updating mechanical engineering drawings and collects technical data for inclusion in engineering studies and reports.
    • Prepares basic drawings, charts, maps and sketches of equipment related to the distribution system.
    • Plots and draws charts and maps to clearly present engineering data from instructions as to form, contents and use.
    • Prepares reports, charts and graphs for presentations of mechanical operational and production characteristics, procedures, efficiencies, conditions, trends and functions.
    • Draws files for technical information and extracts data from a variety of non-standard sources and performs other duties consisting of quasi-professional work/on the job training in engineering.
