SUMMARY: Perform all essential extrusion, saw/clean and segment functions as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Requires skill and ability to be able to work efficiently in
Segment, Extrusion (except press operation) and Saw/Clean areas of Mill Department. Must be capable of setting up
and operating all equipment associated with these areas. Must also be capable of performing all tasks defined in Mill
Utility 3 and Mill Utility 4 job titles. Assist in training others as required.
U5 (A): Perform (B) & (C); ability to perform majority of functions within or associated with extrusion processes.
U5 (B): Perform (C); ability to efficiently perform at least half of all functions as requested within the area of extrusion processes.
U5 (C): Limited ability to perform certain processes within the area of extrusion processes in an efficient manner.
SEGU5 (A): Perform (B) & (C) and full knowledge of both furnaces, to include programming, and proficiency at all Segment operations.
SEGU5 (B): Perform (C) and able set up and run punch press.
SEGU5 (C): Ability to run saws for cutting product, vibro and hand debur and stage inventory.
SCU5 (A): Perform (B) & (C) and ability to set up on all straighteners.
SCU5 (B): Perform (C) and able to run saw, hand straighten, run bull dozer and set up multiple straighteners.
SCU5 (C): Helper on saw & clean lines with ability to hand straighten.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL and/or COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use basic shop math. Knowledge of computer operation and related software required.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Operate fork lift truck (will be licensed in accordance with
OSHA power industrial truck operator requirements.)

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Detect quantity discrepancies, defective material, unusual
conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervision. Will complete data transactions where necessary. Perform changing lubrication, cleaning and maintenance of equipment when necessary. Will maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times. A working knowledge of all job-related Quality Management System operating procedures and work instructions is required.
