Summary
Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician performs complex geometric dimensional inspections on received product, first article, in-process and finished products, ensuring compliance to specifications.

Qualifications
* Operate manual and/or DCC CMM (PC-DMIS or Calypso). Programming experience is a plus.
* Operate optical comparator and related peripherals.
* Understands the care and use of pin gages, thread gages and gage blocks.
* Understand complex dimensioning systems and can interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing ("GD&T") symbols.
* Determine pass/fail on visual criteria under magnification and understands and can operate microscope.
* Communicate with manager noted deviations from tolerances and quality.
* Must be able to make decisions, communicate effectively and work with others.
* Must be a team player, a self-starter, a problem solver and adaptable.
* Troubleshooting skills a plus
Education and/or Experience
Requires a high school diploma or GED; minimum 5 year related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills. Must possess math skills and have good reading comprehension ability
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications, and safety regulations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
