Mechanical Integrity Engineer – Staff or Contract – Nationwide / Home Working

Location: Nationwide / Home Working

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy and Nuclear sectors. Our client is looking for somebody on either a staff or contract basis and can be flexible on working location (the role can be done either in one of our client’s offices or remotely with regular trips to site and office locations).

Please note the following:

UKAS 17020 accreditation is essential.

EEMUA 159 certification is essential.

API 510, 570 and 653 accreditation is essential.

For a contract position this role is deemed outside IR35.

Role & Responsibilities

* Participate and conduct asset integrity audits and creation of inspection and integrity reports.

* Develop and Asset Integrity Management assessment of mechanical elements of plant equipment.

* Monitor maintenance requirements and effectiveness and help minimise mechanical maintenance backlogs and interventions through regular review processes.

* Complete documentation and assurance systems, such as work planning, submission and assessment or approval of Change Management applications, update of equipment and documentation databases and the publication of reports.

* Help deliver maintenance strategy and policies, prescribing equipment-specific routines and procedures.

* Work with clients on implementing AIM systems.

* Performing risk based inspections for a range of Mechanical equipment and developing reports for client review.

* Participating in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SIMOP workshops.

Key Skills & Knowledge

* UKAS 17020 accreditation is essential.

* EEMUA 159 certification is essential.

* API 510, 570 and 653 accreditation is essential.

* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering – HNC / HND minimum, degree desirable but not essential.

* Experience in developing and maintaining a mechanical integrity program for refinery or chemical facility including risk based inspections for all types of equipment

* Chaired or lead PHA, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SIMOP workshops.

* Lead AIM and PSM audits.
