Role: Building Maintenance Engineer

Location: Pontypool

Salary: Up to £40,000

Hours: 8am – 430pm (Monday to Friday)

Position Description:

The business is currently undergoing a huge period of growth, with the introduction of new product lines and clients.
As a result, we are looking for a Qualified Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team and upkeep building infrastructure.
Maintenance Engineers are an integral part of an organisation’s Operations and Production Team and are expected to deal with a range of maintenance and diagnostic requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Conducting all maintenance for both electrical & mechanical building infrastructure requirements.
Diagnosis and identification of faults and failures within Building Infrastructure equipment.
Performing periodic inspections on building infrastructure equipment and systems.
Scheduling planned and preventive maintenance work, ensuring that systems and equipment are consistently kept in good working order.

Maintain up to date statutory records of all PPM works conducted equipment within the site manuals both hard copy files and electronic.
Day to day liaison with operational staff.
Providing effective solutions and escalating faults where necessary.
Compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations.
Ordering and fitting parts or components.
Conduction repair and reverse work

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer; BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
17/18th edition Electrical Certification.
Proven knowledge and experience of working within an electrical and mechanical work environment.
Confident, proactive in learning, with an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills.
Equally capable of independent and team working.
Decision making skills
Experience of working within a production environment.
Planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

This is a salaried paid role and is on a fixed day shift pattern, but this may change with business needs.
Salary Circa 40K
The role does not have any direct reports.
