Our client is a start-up lender who are dedicated to getting more people on the property ladder and providing homeowners with the tools to make smart financial decisions.

They are early in their journey, and the successful candidate can have a meaningful impact as a Broker Champion. The role would be to support the growth of the intermediary mortgage proposition, being a key contact point for mortgage brokers looking to place business, obtain updates and check lending criteria. You will also assist with registering new brokers and completing due diligence checks.

Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Customer Service Representative

Help build Broker helpdesk and team
Act as a key contact point for Mortgage Brokers
Receive inbound calls from Brokers, check lending criteria, assist with their applications, and support them with any mortgage enquiries
Lead outbound calling to new Brokers, obtain updates, and follow up on new business enquiries
Develop positive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders
Assist Brokers with the registration process to be able to submit applications
Act as the go between for Brokers, Mortgage Underwriters and Operation teams
Build a thorough understanding of lending criteria, systems and processes
Support Business Development Managers
Identify, escalate and manage risks
Assist Brokers with system issues and support them with application submissionsExperience required for the role of Mortgage Customer Service Representative

Customer service experience gained within the mortgage industry is essential
Experience of working with mortgage brokers in a similar role would be highly desirable but not essential
Passion for delivering consistent and excellent customer service
Ability to work well under pressure and learn quickly in an agile environment
Ability to adapt to change and execute system and process recommendations
Passion for producing high quality work which impresses customers
