Information:

This is larger sized 3 form entry primary school in the heart of the Brecklands in Mildenhall, looking for a Year 1 teacher to join their team from January 2022. Currently, Randstad Education is working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to find the ideal candidate to join their educational family.

There are approximately 500 pupils on roll and the school caters for mixed ability learners, allowing them to flourish and achieve their potential by building their development on the foundations of respect, curiosity, and pride in their learning. This role is a maternity cover and is needed on a full time basis for the remainder of the academic year. The school prides itself on having brilliant support systems available to both staff and children. Currently, the Ofsted ranking is 'Good,' with the school now quickly moving to ensure the next ranking will be 'Outstanding.' So far, they are very much on track to achieve this.

The school offers a safe, vibrant and friendly atmosphere for pupils and staff and is continually praised for its community atmosphere. The school offers a broad curriculum and extensive extra curricular activities for all its learners, such as all students learning a musical instrument by year 5, and practising scientific method in a way that both celebrates their curiosity and follows the national curriculum in a fun and stimulating manner. All students make good progress whilst at the school and the vast majority of school leavers are above level in attainment.

Responsibilities:

Work 5 days a week, supporting the class in their continued success
Establish a safe and stimulating environment for year 1 pupils
Committed to listening to children and responding to their individual needs.
Able to work creatively, innovatively and develop pupils' self-belief
Plan creative lessons and assess students progress
Contribute to the design and upholding of a stimulating curriculum, whilst using differentiated learning to ensure all students are succeeding

Requirements

QTS Qualified with Induction Completed
Able to interview as soon as possible
Secure knowledge of Key Stage 1 curriculum
Self described as both flexible and adaptable!
