Salary: £23,000 per annum

Our client is a specialist provider of adult social care, supporting people with complex needs to enjoy life. And we are working with them to appoint a Deputy Service Manager to join one of their Learning Disability services in Chertsey.
Shifts required e.g., 7am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 1pm-9pm, 2pm-11pm including sleep ins 11pm-7am, al subject to change.
On successful completion of your probationary period, you will be considered to undertake a Health and Social Care Level 5 Diploma at no cost to yourself. This will assist you in career progression within the organisation.

The service supports five gentlemen with learning disability, autism, PICA, epilepsy, and some challenging behaviour. They all require support with communication as they are non-verbal. They all require high personal care support. In addition, they require support with eating and drinking. All mobilising independently. They enjoy aromatherapy, music, meals out, walking, drives, some like helping but limited laundry, tidying table etc.
In this role you will work closely with the Service Manager to inspire and motivate the team to provide a high-quality service as well as act as a role model in delivery of active support, working alongside the team to offer direct support to individuals living in the service as well as prioritising admin time.
Your duties include:
Deputising the Service Manager
Recording and keeping records
Leading a team and conducting supervisions
Monitoring and preparation of Rotas
Liaising with external agencies and health professionals
Overseeing the smooth running of the home
Attending appointments&care reviews
Update care plans and risk assessments
Administer medication and cover the rota
About you
You will have a strong understanding and experience of supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and various support needs
Ideally you will have experience of working in and developing a team including appraisal, coaching and performance management
An understanding of Health and Social Care regulatory bodies.
Be a driver and have access to your own vehicle.
