Account Manager

Our CEVA Showfreight team are an award-winning, specialist logistics service for the exhibition and wider events sector. From the Farnborough International Air Show to Integrated Systems Europe and Crufts we deliver on time, every time and we have an exciting opportunity for a customer centric and dynamic Account Manager to join our team at the NEC in Birmingham.
As the Account Manager you will be responsible for various large events and exhibitions, therefore we require someone who has a flexible approach to travel and working hours.
With proven experience working in the exhibitions and events sector you will have full management of logistics services such as site handling, customer clearance procedures, multimodal shipping, road shows, traffic management and on-site management for events worldwide.
You will have responsibility for the growth of the business through the achievement of new business wins and the expansion of existing business through operational excellence, innovative and cost-effective solution design, and a professional sales approach.
It is crucial that you manage and maintain working partnerships with your customer base and internal senior management teams to secure contract development, renewals and negotiating commercial terms. You will assist in achieving budgeted sector targets, cost efficiency and the delivery of excellent operational solutions to customers and their agents.
You will also have responsibility for leading, managing and coordinating a team to ensure that customer service excellence, efficiency, financial, quality and safety targets are achieved and exceeded.
The team is also closely involved with the development of business opportunities through cross-selling between Logistics and Freight Management as well as the wider development and maximisation of opportunities with the international network of Showfreight agents, therefore an understanding of international logistics movements, such as worldwide shipping, including shipping restrictions and compliance would be desirable.
To be successful in your application you will have proven national and international exhibitions and events account management experience, ideally within 3PL logistics environment.
You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coordinate and support dispersed teams. You will be able to demonstrate a forward-thinking approach with the ability to actively contribute to solutions, taking both a strategic and tactical view. You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact and engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. An understanding of operating processes and capabilities, business process standardisation and enabling technologies are also key requirements for this role.
Within this role, there will be a considerable amount of time spent away from home assisting with events, exhibitions and projects therefore flexibility and dedication are required. You will also need a Clean UK Driving Licence.
