Blue Cross are one of the UK’s leading animal welfare organisations for animals. We support sick, injured and homeless pets and care for more than 40,000 animals every year through our rehoming, veterinary and education programmes. Our Supporter Care team manage the relationship with each of our supporters, without whom our charity could not exist. They also provide an advice and information service, and a sympathetic ear, to supporters and members of the public on a variety of issues which could be anything from information about Blue Cross and our services, to wider animal care and welfare issues.
We are now looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join our team working remotely (with two days a week in our office in Burford) on a full time basis.

As a People & Culture Advisor, you will provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to managers, employees and volunteers.
Within this brand new role, you will working with People & Culture (P&C) Business Partners, support colleagues throughout the organisation.
You will coach our management team to ensure they are provided with the necessary support needed when guiding the staff within their departments.
Additionally, you will be responsible for handling volunteer-related enquiries and providing essential support to volunteer managers.
To be considered as a People & Culture Advisor, you will need:
- Previous experience of working in HR, gained throughout the employee life cycle
- Confidence in dealing with numbers and experience of analysing and reporting data
- A proven track record of prioritising and organising work and projects within a busy and multi-functioning role
- A working knowledge of MS Office, web-based platforms and databases
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-facing skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience of working with volunteers in a HR environment would be advantageous to your application, as would experience of managing projects and development programmes. However, neither of these elements are essential.
Other organisations may call this role People Advisor, Culture and Inclusion Advisor, Policy Advisor, Operations Advisor, People Care Advisor, or Employment Advisor.
The salary for this role is Grade 4.2
