Field Sales Manager

Recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a driven Field Sales Manager to join a well-established and growing business to drive sales and develop new relationships in the expanding Trade sector. You will have full responsibility for the UK Independent Trade sector sales whilst managing a team of 2 Area Sales Managers.

Your responsibilities will include:
Motivate, lead, train and mentor the field sales team to achieve the best results possible by providing direction and clarity of business plan goals through weekly planning, effective prioritisation, and regular communication
Attend regular internal meetings with senior management and focus groups
Effectively manage the performance of your team ensuring that any gaps in performance are highlighted in one to ones and performance improvement plans are put in place.
Deliver and exceed the UK Trade Sales target
Know the brands and identify and implement sales opportunities to drive an increase in revenue
Be actively involved in the field at least 4 days a week with sales team members and customers
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the sales data to identify trends and opportunity and identify strategic measures and opportunities to drives sales
Prepare and analyse status reports on CRM data and agree on key performance indicators in line with company requirements

Key Skills/Experience Required:
For the role of Field Sales Manager you will need to be experienced in managing a field sales team and able to motivate, mentor and manage effectively. At least 5 years experience in retail/trade within the home improvements sector is a must with a minimum of 3 years in a field sales manager position. You will have knowledge of independents, trade, wholesales and buying groups and have excellent knowledge and experience using CRM . For this role you will be a confident communicator and presenter and be comfortable being out on the road with the team or seeing clients.
