Job Description:
Reporting into a HR Manager and working as part of a team the main duty of the HR Advisor is to drive and deliver the company’s people strategy, proactively collaborating and partnering with managers across the business.
Key HR Advisor duties include:
Work closely with the HR Manager, HR Team and Senior Leaders to establish the HR needs and deliver joint solutions for their specific businesses.
With the talent acquisition team, attract and recruit top talent to the business.
Provide timely advice and support to line managers dealing with people issues, complying with legislative requirements and company procedures.
Develop, implement and review HR policies and procedures.
Embed best practice, establishing processes in line with the Group’s strategy, vision and values.
Promote visibility of the HR team across the business, partnering with the business areas.
Coach, train and develop line managers in all aspects of people management, including handling difficult situations, sickness absence management, performance management and recruitment embedding best practice.
Promote a culture of engagement and "getting the best out of our people" by supporting the succession planning process.
Work with the Learning and Development team to deliver the Learning&Development Plan.
Review people metrics and create plans to influence them.
Deliver the company welcome.
Supporting the retention of high calibre talent, training and supporting managers and instilling professionalism.
HR Advisor Specification:
The ideal HR Advisor MUST bring:
A passion to work in partnership with our leaders and teams, guiding and supporting the development of all our people.
Experience working at Advisor level in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to coach and support managers dealing with recruitment and ER issues.
Excellent organisational skills, a self-starter, able to work independently using initiative.
Proven analytical, numerical and evaluation skills to effectively review data and trends.
Confidence challenging and the ability to give comprehensive timely advice.
Effective facilitation skills to deliver exciting learning solutions.
Very strong written skills to produce engaging communications.
Outstanding relationship building and influencing skills both internally and externally.
Experience updating and developing policies and procedures.
Knowledge of current HR trends and employment legislation, achieved through membership of relevant bodies or forums.
CIPD qualified or working towards it.
