Main Purpose of Role On a day to day basis, you will be one of the ones that makes our events happen and run successfully. This is a dynamic, high profile role so you will need to be an unflappable, confident communicator. We run approximately 1000 events per year all of which are managed by our fantastic events team made up of 5 events administrators, 4 events coordinators and 2 event executives. The role of events administrator is an extremely varied one so you will need to be someone who isn't phased by challenges and is able to manage a number of tasks and priorities without getting into a tail spin. You will be managing a high number of activities to ensure our face to face, recorded on-demand and Zoom events run smoothly. We use MS packages including MS Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Teams so proficiency in this software is essential. Responsibilities will include: - supporting the running and operations of events - liaising with our external suppliers, where required, and promptly deal with any issues - written communication to external providers - communicating regular updates to the team clearly and promptly - acting as a course host, either attending face to face or on our Mercia Live courses - maintenance and updating of course attendances and client training records - administration of courses across all formats such as Live, on-demand or face to face - providing administrative support for our one-day conferences and Management events - processing training related venue and speaker invoices If this sounds like the kind of varied role you'd enjoy, apply now. Skills and Experience Required - Experience of carrying out administrative duties ideally relating to courses and events - Confident with technology such as MS Teams and Zoom - Strong English business language skills both spoken and written - Strong ICT skills and experience with the Microsoft packages - Ability to negotiate with others and seek resolutions - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
