Health & Safety Manager

Manpower is delighted to be working in partnership with one of the UK's leading Port Authorities to find their next Health and Safety Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to take overall responsibility for safety across the group, ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation. What will I be doing in this role:- Acting as main contract for all Health and Safety matters including liaison with national safety, regulatory and enforcement bodies Conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and accident investigations including production of appropriate action plans Driving continual improvement in safety procedures with a focus on proactive actions Playing a leading role in ensuring the Port retains its ISO 45001 accreditation, demonstrated best practice and continual improvement Playing an active role in developing and maintaining other ISO standards as part of an integrated management system What do I need to succeed To succeed in this role you will need to Have a proactive, safety first approach to Health and Safety Management Have an industry recognised qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate Be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge and practical application of Health and Safety Standards and Regulations.
