Field Sales Engineer

Our client is a rapidly expanding global manufacturers agent who specialises in the import and distribution of Industrial Electrical and Electronic Products, as well as being Global Sourcing Consultants and Supplier Consolidators for two UK based Global Distributors of Industrial Electrical and Electronic Products. They are currently looking for a Field Sales Engineer to join their hardworking and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar position, have a proven history of sales in the Controls and Automation industry as well as a background in Electrical Engineering. You will also possess excellent IT skills as well as strong customer service skills. As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be generating new customers as well as increasing product offerings to existing customers. You will work on your own initiative from existing customer/market knowledge as well as the companys customer and CRM databases and marketing/exhibition leads. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities: Demonstrable experience within a similar position. Proven history of sales in the Controls and Automation industry with knowledge of your approach to suit different stake holding departments, typically Engineering, Purchasing and Finance. Must be able to build and maintain a good rapport with prospects and customers quickly. Possess a background in Electrical Engineering (practical experience will be considered). Strong IT skills be able to keep accurate records, provide quoting, CRM maintenance as well as use MS Office 365. Possess excellent presentation skills whether in a one to one or group presentation. Be conscientious with a good work ethic, self-motivated and able to work independently. Hold a Full Clean UK Driving License. Must be aware that field sales occasionally require you to work long or irregular hours and that attendance at exhibitions and sales meetings will be expected. Your duties as a Field Sales Engineer would be: Searching for new customers and to protect and develop business with existing customers while maintaining close contact with your line manager and all relevant internal departments. Be highly motivated and proficient at researching the market for Control and Automation product users and identifying key stakeholders in all relevant departments within prospective companies. Working from leads generated from the company marketing process and incoming enquiries and responding to these in a timely and professional manner. Booking meetings with the stakeholders you identify from shop floor to Director level and can tailor your approach to the different priorities and focus of the various departments of the stakeholders. Generating quotations to customers and prospects resulting from your sales activities while not selling below minimum profit margins. Maintaining an up-to-date record of your planned and actual work process in the company CRM system. Expected to work to targets and your performances will be measured by KPIs relating to but not limited to the following; turnover, profit, profit margin, credit account growth %, conversion rates, meetings booked, meetings attended. Providing regular feedback of competitor products and activity within prospects and customer businesses. Salary and Reward Package: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Generous uncapped commission on sales profit 1st Year OTE £45,000 - £50,000 per annum 2ndYear OTE £55,000 - £60,000 per annum After successful probation you will be offered the option to have a Tesla Model 3 Long Range or similar on a salary sacrifice scheme Company Mobile Phone, Laptop and any other equipment essential for the job Annual holiday allowance will start at 20 working days plus national and bank holidays.
