Head of Estates £56,677 - £69,010 DOE & Benefits The National Composites Centre is a world-learning research and development centre, focused on realizing the future of composites manufacturing and reaching our potential in being an exemplar for industry. Now in our eleventh year, we have some exciting growth in our sights as we bring fresh innovations to new sectors and industries including Digital, Sustainability, Renewables, Construction and more. Any leading R&D centre needs the right vision to ensure world-class leadership in Estates, building, and facilities management. This is where you come in. You'll set the vision for a continuous period of transformation, bringing the NCC facility into a bright future of exploiting the latest sustainable technologies, digital techniques and tools, remote working systems and more. You'll be challenged with designing the future of Estates as we expand our business from two Bristol-based sites to as many as 10 national sites over the next decade. As Head of Estates, you'll develop, deliver, and be accountable for the strategic direction of NCC Estates. You'll establish your vision for Estates in conjunction with the wider business plans, and the mission of our close network of HVMC partners across the UK. And with some exciting step-changes coming up, this will be your chance to set your legacy. Reporting into the Business Transformation Director, and with strong links to the Leadership team among a wide range of critical stakeholders (internal and external), you'll prioritise effectively, clearly communicate and drive change through others across the organisation. And given the scope of the challenge, this will be a great step in your career. So what are we looking for? You'll bring significant demonstrable experience to the role at the NCC, ideally of strategically managing multiple sites and providing your vision for facilities/building management, bringing an organisation through a period of change. You're skilled a wide range of disciplines related to FM, Estates and Building Management in leadership roles. You'll have a solid understanding of the wider Estates topics from Health & Safety to sustainability, from Facilities Management to Project Management. If you've worked in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment, that's a bonus, but you'll know how Estates leadership fits into a wider context of business transformation and strategic thinking. Qualifications in a variety of relevant areas (PM, QHS, Sustainability, Environment is a big plus) You have a proven ability to influence at a senior level and have a credible voice with leadership teams, senior engineers, external partners and suppliers. You understand the importance of building national networks to support the expansion of the cente. You're an adept communicator, strong presence within your team and other working groups, and have confidence working with a variety of IT systems and platforms. Finally, youll have a passion for a sustainable technologies, and a vision for how to bring the NCC into a future of exemplary sustainable practices.
