The Role As part of our Clients growth plans, they are looking for National Sales Manager to lead from the front and assist with Major account management along with managing the External Sales Team across the UK. Key Responsibilities Motivating, Training and mentoring the external sales team to achieve the best results possible To assist with major Retail, Trade & DIY accounts and help to increase national campaign activity Attending regular internal meetings with senior management and focus groups To Identify key areas for improvement in the sales process Deliver and communicate any company brand building or marketing activity messages to the Sales Team Be actively involved in field days with sales team members and customers Prepare and analyse status reports on sales activity and agreed key performance indicators in line with company requirements Managing customer and business expectations, liaising with all internal departments to secure best outcomes To assist with the recruitment process of the external sales team Experience/Skills Must have a knowledge of the Hand Tools marketplace Professional Sales training (preferable) The individual selected should possess excellent overall business skills, includingexcellent written and verbal communication, planning, presentation and organisationalabilities. Previous experience successfully managing sales teams from within the industry. Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business A willingness to travel extensively, both inside the agreed local territory as well as across the UK when necessary, staying away from home when required Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Self-motivated and driven self-starter I.T. literate (Including Zoom, Teams, etc) Full and current UK driving license Qualifications required Ideally, the successful candidate will be educated to HNC level, but is not essential; you must be able to demonstrate at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar National Sales Manager role with a proven track record Location/Area NATIONWIDE (Ideally Centrally Based) Salary NEGOTIABLE BASIC SALARY (£65,000 D.O.E.)
