Programme Co-ordinator / Bid Co-ordinator

Working from state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the West Midlands, it is our pleasure to now be partnering our Client to help develop, build and nurture their team with only the very best talent As part of this growth, we are now actively seeking an experienced Programme Co-ordinator on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role is a split one covering both Bid Co-ordinator and Programme Co-ordinator. The split is flexible and can vary dependent on available work-load, i.e. the expectation is that the role could vary from 0-100% of each function at any time, hence capability is expected in both disciplines. Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Bid Management Receive proposed work scope and deliverables from Business Development briefing, interrogate and arrive at a request that can be fully understood across the company. Organise cross functional collaboration to agree the tasks required to generate data, deliverables, etc needed for preparation of a complete proposal. Develop robust plans that will ensure timely return of quality data inputs, facilitating proposal completion within tight timeframes. Co-ordinate, challenge and balance inputs to create optimised proposals aligned with customer and organisational requirements. Develop reports and presentations to that enable the company to present offers to clients in a clear, professional manner. With Business Development input, provide summary overviews of new business opportunities. Ensure that bidding and supporting documentation is generated and available within agreed timelines. Programme Management Create the programme identification and planning documentation for all work streams. Communicate initiation of the programme and kick-off all required activities to the programme team. Control and communicate status of deliverables and related tasks, programme timings versus plan, programme expenditure (external spend and hours) versus budget and balance resources within the overall programme limits where possible. Review any requests for change to programme scope and determine, with support from the programme team, the consequent changes to programme. Communicate with Business Development Manager to ensure appropriate Contractual changes are agreed with client before proceeding. Update key information (work scope, deliverables, timing plan and budget), if necessary based on agreement reached with customer and Business Development Manager. Communicate programme closure to the programme team and instruct Finance and other functions to close the programme in the relevant company systems. Lead and document an appropriate Lessons Learned review, appending the report to the appropriate programme control documentation. People Management Financial Budgeting & Control Relationship Management Qualifications & Experience ideally required: Should ideally have a relevant manufacturing/engineering Degree is preferred, or HND, BTEC Professional Level 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications, but plenty of relevant experience will be considered. Should be an experienced Programme Co-ordinator / Programme Manager with bidding knowledge with exposure to Engineering, preferably within Automotive and/or Battery industries. Strong customer interfacing and management skills Ability to lead staff of various skills and personalities who are not direct subordinates Strong people management skills needed. Strong task and programme leadership skills, identifying what is important are also required. Excellent IT skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Programme needed. Experience of APQP preferred. Six Sigma qualification preferred. Should have experience in delivering engineering programmes on time and within budget. Ability to derive resource and revenue budgets from programme plan Data driven approach to analysis. Does this sound like you?
