Procurement and Contracts Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for my client part of a Global blue chip multi billion dollar business are looking to recruit this new position as Procurement and Contracts Manager-to manage the commercial contracts and procurement for Indirects with a focus on IT based at their new HQ in Manchester City Centre Main Purpose of the role The Procurement and Contracts Manager will be the go to person for all contractual requirement and commercials creating a strategy which supports the business need The Procurement and Contracts Manbager will have regular engagement with other departments especially members of sales teams to provide support for new tenders and current business opportunities. Working closely with the busienss to quickly identify potential issues and diffusing with short- and long-term actions. Skills/Experience required for the Senior Buyer will include: Significant experience in a similar role managing critical indirects procurement and contracts Proven track record for delivering results. Degree level education or equivalent (desire to educate to CIPS) Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure, and multi task. Good analytical and reporting skills. Flexible, pragmatic, independent and deadline focused. An experienced and effective negotiator.
