Business Development Manager, Private Wealth

A leading law firm headquartered in London is looking for an experienced Business Development professional to help manage and co-ordinate the targeting efforts of the Private Wealth sector. The role requires a flexible Business Development Manager, who will have the opportunity to work agilely. You will support the Senior Business Development Manager and wider Private Wealth business development team for the benefit of multiple practices across the firm but with a specific focus on the Private Wealth sector group. There are five key elements to this role centred on the firm's High Net Worth activity. You will support the targeting and networking of the Private Wealth referrers operating in the HNW space, support client acquisition through end-to-end project management of the pitching process and manage and coordinate the targeting at a client focus group level, with a particular focus on groups in which cross-selling and referrer relationships are at the heart of planned activity. In addition, you will assist the Senior Business Development Manager with business planning priorities and provide support on the evolution of the firm's Ultra High Net Worth targeting. The Private Wealth core client plan currently focuses on six audience types, Investors & Entrepreneurs, Professionals & Senior Executives, Landed Estates & Heritage Properties, International & Global Families, Art & Luxury, and Charities & Philanthropy. The role holder will coordinate and report on the Private Client divisional and Private Wealth core plan strategic business planning objectives and will need to encourage client focus group leads and the wider Private Wealth Business Development team to develop campaign plans that mirror the firm's strategic business plan goals around cross-selling. Responsibility for managing and developing one of the firms key intermediary relationships and the Private Wealth HNW intermediary relationships, including attending client-facing meetings and planning and delivering intermediary specific targeted events and workshops will be a key duty of this challenging role. A committed team-player, with a good understanding of successful CRM programmes with the referrer market, the Business Development Manager will have proven relevant experience working with Private Client groups within a legal environment. Highly proficient at pitching, including working with international and cross-office, cross-departmental teams, with complex international family governance structures, the ideal candidate will also have a client service focus and strong ability to engage colleagues at every level in projects and initiatives.
