Facilities Manager – Derby – circa £26 per hour – Immediate start My client who we were named the top-ranked FM service provider in the FM Index for 2020 are looking for a Facilities Manager in the Derby area. Summary of role Excellent team management skills, a strong communicator, a person with ability to apply their knowledge and ability to raise standards. Qualified in an M&E or fabric discipline with the ability to apply that knowledge, develop their team and utilise specialist sub-contractors as required. The role will require you to put your stamp on the department under your remit, be accountable and take responsibility as required, making sure the companies mandatory safety, environmental and compliance standards are implemented fully and communicated effectively within your team. Qualifications or experience • Provide quality assurance and technical compliance across the hard services function ensuing adherence to all contract and company requirements • Provide Governance for technical standards set within the contract and agreed with EMR and in line with SFG20 statutory, non-statutory and / or industry best practice guidelines • Provide guidance and support for the front-end delivery teams to ensure compliance with adopted technical standards and ensuring relevant job plans are kept updated for each PPM activity in line with SFG20 and / or other agreed industry best practice • Liaise with central technical team as required to ensure contract stays fully compliant, ensuring all services are delivered to the required standards including those delivered via our sub-contractor partners. Services include general M&E including Electrical / HVAC / Gas / Legionella / LOLER / PUWER and other ‘statutory’ activities • Provide an audit function and reporting to report performance in the delivery of standards • Ensure your Compliance Manager can generate reports for internal and client reference to demonstrate our compliance levels utilising the CAFM System Concerto and working and drive improvements as required. • Ensure an effective audit regime is in place relating to HSEQ documentation ensuring registers are maintained, calibration records kept current and any relevant checks completed to schedule, developing an effective, audit criteria to support. Any shortfalls to be documented and corrective, actions taken through to a conclusion. • Ensure all engineers and yourself, hold current PTS (Personal Trackside Safety) training and direct and support the Compliance Manager to ensure the account can achieve and maintain its RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) documentation, supporting audits as required and any policies such as drug and alcohol testing regime are put in place in line with company policies General • The role will report to the Project Manager • 40 hours per week between Mon to Fri 08.00 to 16.30 with flexibility in working hours to meet the role and business needs • The account operates an out of hours service and provision of verbal support for your on-call engineer and Supervisor may be required from time to time as will acting as a point of escalation Required Qualifications & Experience • Professional Building Services Engineering Qualification or trade qualifications equivalent to a full term served apprenticeship and appropriate qualifications leading to the level of fully qualified tradesmen • 5 years demonstrable management experience in a similar role • SMSTS – 5-day course • CSCS Managers Card Construction safety certification or, • ECS Managers Card electrical certification scheme if electrical trade trained • Solid understanding of general compliance requirements and its importance for delivery the of statutory and non-statutory PPM Desirable Qualifications & Experience • IOSH Managing Safely - 3-day course • Any knowledge of Network Rail PTS (Personal Trackside Safety Rules) – training can be provided via 2-day course • Sound Microsoft skills for word, excel, PowerPoint etc • CAFM – Ability to use CAFM systems and extraction of data as required – The account is using the client system Concerto and training can be provided • Strong Communication skills • Administration skills • Ability to produce professional quotations and business cases as required • Confident in approach and comfortable presenting general information • Understanding of Minor works and CDM requirements, capability would be advantageous, but this is an area for development • Management of a mobile engineer workforce The role is temp to perm for the right candidate.
