Sales Team Leader £27,000 per annum Company bonus OTE £28,500 Location - Daventry Overview We are a customer centric organisation. We design, develop, sell and distribute market leading own-brand products as well as third party brands. Customer experience underpins everything we do - to drive customer loyalty, nurture customer relationships and minimise customer churn. Role The role of Sales Team Leader is based in the sales office. This is a high-profile leadership position which requires a confident, result-driven approach. You will work closely with the Sales Office Manager to assist in the day-to-day running of the department. Broadly, the role covers 3 distinct areas to enhance the performance of the sales office team: supporting colleagues, elevating customer experience, and delivering commercial success through product sales. This role requires two to three years previous experience, and there is scope for career development. You will be overseeing 8 staff within Customer Services/Internal Sales. Reporting line This role will report directly into the Sales Office Manager and then, as part of the internal sales team, into Head of Sales. Candidate The successful candidate will be sales focussed, result driven, a confident communicator and a considered thinker. You will have leadership skills to energise the team, build customer relationships and deliver product sales. You will have excellent organisational skills, and be methodical in tracking team objectives including sales targets, product campaigns, department service metrics and team performance standards. You will have good coaching skills to provide team support and highlight training needs. You will take a considered approach to challenges, thinking outside the box to deliver solutions for our customers and the business. You will be computer literate with strong Microsoft skills and assured on the telephone. Supporting the team to raise performance standards including: Order processing accuracy Error reduction metrics Efficient returns processes Understanding and implementing product/ service/ market/ system training needs Driving the team to achieve monthly sales targets including: Selling products in boxed quantities Upselling products where appropriate Understanding gross margin management Monitoring system house keeping tasks with the team; Ensuring customer details are up-to-date Ensuring customer usages are on the system Growing product sales across the customer base through: Understanding customer segmentation Driving product sales in line with new product launches, department campaigns and our defined sales budget Understanding stock levels and offering product alternatives when required Making outbound sales calls Growing customer loyalty through: Ensuring a first-class experience with the company Proactively building customer relationships Maintaining high levels of communication Being solutions focussed
