Quality Technician

Amphenol Advanced Sensors have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician to join the team. Location: Taunton Salary: Competitive Quality Technician - The Role: The quality technician will perform inspection of components to support serial production and batch release testing and reporting of non-conforming products. Quality Technician - Key Responsibilities: - Perform inspections of purchased parts, sub-assemblies and finished company products according to controlled test methods - Reject nonconforming products, and raise nonconforming reports (NCR) - Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards to TS16949 & ISO9001 - Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing - Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner - Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration. - Conduct Gage R&R - Participate in the development and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function - Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists - Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action - Work with production management and Quality Assurance team to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly test data - Ensure UL documentation and data is correct and in order and available for inspection - Assist in training of new QA staff to ensure continuity and compliance - Assisting with Quality Engineer on PPAP and 8D reports as required - Attend training courses as appropriate to the work Quality Technician - You: - Working knowledge of Electrical, Electronic engineering, or Physics - Must have good English written and verbal communication skills - Good arithmetic skills are required - 2 years Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection is preferred - Working knowledge of measurement instruments essential - Working knowledge of AQL/ Quality sampling plans is required - General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word - Effective communicator - Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving production environment - Positive, can-do attitude and approach to all situations and problems To submit your CV for this exciting Quality Technician opportunity, please press ‘Apply' now.
